If you have not started yet... Start Today!

Don't wait until New Years Eve or New Years Day to plan & write down your 2014 goals. This is a process that when done properly, takes time.

So if you have not started working on your 2014 goals yet... START TODAY! This should give you enough time to think & plan properly.

Best of success to you... Chuck Norris

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all. There are so many things to be thankful for. We are thankful for our family, friends, fans and our Lord Jesus.

We are thankful for those who have served and are serving in the military to fight for the freedoms we all share. Please say a prayer for all of our troops and their families who are not able to celebrate this special day of thanks together.

We should all add special prayers for those that need extra blessings in their life. Please know that we are thankful for each of you.

May the Lord Bless you and keep you safe.

Thank You!

I am receiving a lot of positive press and feedback from a BusinessWeek.com article published yesterday. And although some celebrities might be tempted to take personal credit for something like this... I need to give credit where credit is due.

It is because of the blessings of God and YOU... my family, friends and fans who have stuck with me all these years. I am grateful for God's blessings in my life. And I am grateful for you. Thank You! for your prayers, friendship and support.

Principles For Life #11

#11 >  I will always remain loyal to my God, my country, family and my friends.

The world we live in today is full of short term disposable material things. A major problem is that many people are also treating beliefs and relationships the same way.

If we don't like something or something someone else did, we are quick to judge and quick to dispose of that relationship.

If we want to do something that does not fit inside our spiritual beliefs, we may ignore those beliefs or look for some sort of loophole that we believe will allow us to go ahead and do what we want to do.

Some people will sacrifice their beliefs & personal relationships for things like temporary satisfaction, fortune and fame.

I can tell you from personal experiences, that the relationship you have with God and others, believing in the country you live in, plus doing what you can to make your country a better place for all who live in it, is priceless.

So when you are tempted to break your loyalty to someone, your country or with God, take a mental step back and dig deep to ask yourself.... Is it really worth it both short and long term?

And again... we reap what we sow. If you want others to be loyal to you (which most of do) you must also be loyal to others.

Principles For Life #10

#10 >  I will maintain respect for those in authority and demonstrate this respect at all times.

Since there are a few different definitions for the word respect, let me clarify by sharing the definition from Merriam - Webster, that I am referring to in this principle.

"a feeling or understanding that someone or something is important, serious, etc., and should be treated in an appropriate way"

I have had people tell me that this principle can be one of the hardest to follow, so let me share with you a tip that I use....

If you are having a hard time respecting a specific person in authority, respect the position that person holds.

Principles For Life #9

#9 >  I will maintain an attitude of open-mindedness toward another person's viewpoint while still holding fast to what I know to be true and honest.

Having a closed mind to new / different ideas or viewpoints, keeps doors closed on relationships or new opportunities for greater success in your life. The most successful people are always open to learning something new that will improve their personal or business life in some way.

They also attempt to understand why others have the views they have. The more you can understand why a person feels or believes the way they do about something, the better chance you have of creating or maintaining a good relationship with them.

Principles For Life #8

#8 >  I will always be as enthusiastic about the success of others as I am about my own.

If you are not excited and enthusiastic about others peoples successes, chances are you are either suffering from a lack of success in your life, low self esteem, or both.

Either way.. I strongly encourage you to start being more positive about the success of others, even if you have to force it at first.

In doing so, you should start noticing that you become even more enthusiastic about your own success. And again... since you reap what you sow, you will notice others being more excited about your successes as well.

Let's face it, we all like to have positive reactions from others for our wins in life every now and then. And whether we realize it or nor, we tend to gravitate towards others who are the most positive about and interested in our own activities. So by being more enthusiastic to others, you will find yourself developing new relationships as well as strengthening current ones.

Principles Of Life #7

#7 > I will always give so much time to the improvement of myself that I will have no time to criticize others.

One of the worst wastes of time is to spend it criticizing, putting down or judging others. Each second you spend thinking about or talking about other peoples faults, is precious time that you could be using to improve your own imperfections.

If you waste time, you can't get it back. So take control over your negative thoughts of others & spend that time and energy on improving yourself. Don't waste it criticizing others.

Principles For Life #6

#6 > If I have nothing good to say about a person, I will say nothing.

Remember yesterday when we talked about looking for the good in all people? This especially applies to what we say about others.

Our words have both good and negative power that can greatly affect your life and the lives of others. So keep this in mind when you are about to talk bad about someone whether it's to their face, or behind their back.

Besides, most of the time you say something negative to another person, it only aggravates the situation or their attitude towards you. Very rarely is someone's actions or attitudes changed by others talking bad about them or to them.

So if you are not able to find something good with or about someone... just don't talk about them at all if you can help it. It serves no positive benefit and can make you look very bad to others.

Best of success, Chuck Norris

3 Down 1 To Go! Are You Still In The Game?

Today is the first day of the last quarter of the year. So the BIG question is....

Do you have at least 3/4 of your 2013 goals completed?

If so... Congratulations! Either pat yourself on the back, or get someone to do it for you because you are one of the rare few who are on track.

If you are not on track, don't give up. Some of you have what it takes to not only get caught up, but also end the year ahead of your goals. And some of you may not be able to get totally caught up. But, you still have time to make great progress.

The key at this point to evaluate your past activities and the results you have received from them. Then look for activities, tools, systems, mentors etc. that can help you make adjustments. It is very important that you do this right away.

Will there be some discomfort and sacrifice on your part? Yes there will! But you must believe that achieving your goals are worth the price you will pay. And you must believe that you can and will pay that price... starting now!

Best of success, Chuck Norris

Principles For Life #5

#5 > I will look for the good in all people and make them feel worthwhile.

As a martial arts instructor, I learned early in life that the way I treated and talked to my students made a difference to whether they became better martial artist & better people. As a parent & husband I was reinforced the same lessons. And for the last 20 years, I have seen the difference rule #5 has had on thousands of kids in our KickStart Kids program.

I want you to take a minute and go back to when someone made you feel inferior, useless, worthless or not worthy of something. Think of the negative impact it had on you, and for how long that negativity lasted.

Next, take a few more minutes to imagine how your life (at least in that period of time) would have been different if that person would have taken the time to find out about more about you. Or at the least, been nice and encouraging to you.

The truth is, we all need for someone to help us find a reason to feel good about ourselves in one way or another. We need words of encouragement. We need someone to believe in us enough to give us a shot at something whether it's a job or just being picked to play on their team.

So the next time you are tempted quickly judge someone or dismiss them, think about the negative impact you may have on that person's life. Then look to see if your first impressions or thoughts about that person may have been wrong.

And with many of these principles... remember you reap what you sow. If you want others to look for the good that you have to offer & treat you in ways that make you feel worthwhile, you need to treat others the same way.

Principles For Life #4

#4 > I will continually work at developing love, happiness and loyalty in my family and acknowledge that no other success can compensate for failure in the home.

I've lost count of the number of people I've known who have sacrificed priceless time with their loved ones to make money or build a career. And the whole time they are neglecting their family... they say they are doing it for their family. I have seen men become extremely successful at their jobs, but in the process, become complete failures as husbands & fathers. This is not right. And further more, it is not necessary. Nor is it worth it in the long run.

What about you? Is your work life & family life out of balance? Do you put your career or your bosses happiness, vision & goals before your family? If so... STOP NOW! You will regret it later. Find ways to work smarter. Look for times to put in any extra work after you have taken care of your loved ones personal (non financial) needs.

Remember this... if you want love, happiness & loyalty from your family, you need to give it to them first.

Principles For Life #3

#3 >  I will always be in a positive frame of mind and convey this feeling to every person that I meet.

My late friend Zig Ziglar often stated that  "your attitude, not your aptitude, determines your altitude"

I agree with Zig on this. It is almost impossible to become a long term success with a negative mindset.

And always remember... we do reap what we sow. If you want people to be positive with you and around you, you need to be positive to and around others.

Principles For Life #2

Principles For Life #2 >  I will forget the mistakes of the past and press on to greater achievements.

I often say that if you learn from your mistakes, you never experience loses, only lessons. So when things don't go the way you planned or hoped, learn what you can from the situation. Then immediately start making positive changes, while making sure you don't make the same mistakes in the future.

Best of success, Chuck Norris,

My Principles For Life:

For the next several days... I am going to post my Principles For Life. These are core principles that have personally helped me in all areas of my life.

As you read them, please take time to meditate on whether you are maximizing the power of these principles in your own life.

#1 > I will develop myself to the maximum of my potential in all ways.

Let's be blunt, we all have weak spots that need improving upon. Some people spend too much time working and neglect their bodies. Others spend too much time in the gym and neglect their work. And many spend too much time in front of the TV and neglect both their work & bodies. Some find a balance between their work & working out, but neglect their relationships.

What about you? When was the last time you made a list of the areas of your life that you are neglecting to improve in? And once you made that list, what action did you take to start improving those areas?

How Will You Spend Today?

The most successful people in the world, have the same amount of seconds, minutes, hours in a day, that the unsuccessful have.

The difference between the two groups is that the successful people use their time differently. They think and act in ways that will lead them to successful results. They learn to work smarter based on past failures, lessons & success.

If you don't like your current lifestyle, here is a quick way to determine if you are maximizing your time to help positively change your situation.

For the next 7 days.... Before going to bed....

Write down everything you did that day & how much time you spent doing each activity.

Next.. make a list of things you should have done (and @ how long those activities would have taken) instead.

Then determine what activities you should not have wasted your time on, in order to accomplish those activities that would have improved your life.

If you do this in great detail, you will have a great blueprint for not only stop wasting time, but also filling your time with more activities that will help you accomplish your goals.

This is a very simple activity that can make a MAJOR positive impact on your success. So take it very serious. And don't procrastinate. Start today!

Use your emotions to accomplish your goals.

Too many people let fear keep them from becoming more successful in life. They don't attempt new things because they fear what others will say or think about them. They fear failing at their new venture or they fear that being successful at their new venture, will some how have a negative impact on their friendships, relationships etc. Others don't move forward with things they think about doing or achieving because they are afraid of the mental or physical pain that might be involved to accomplish their goal. In others words, they are not willing to pay the price for their success.

If you are not making positive changes to your life because of some sort of fear, here are a few tips that can help.

First.... Know why you really want to accomplish that dream or goal. The more specific you can be, the better.

For example, if your goal is to earn an additional $10,000.00 this year, know exactly what you plan to do with that extra income. If it's to pay off debt, imagine how much better you will feel when all your bills are paid off. Imagine not wondering what you are going to have to do without to make sure you pay your bills on time. Imagine what you could do with the money that is now going toward your bills every month.

If it's to take your dream vacation, imagine the great time you are going to have on that trip. Start collecting pictures & brochures of where you plan on going. Put them in a place where you will see them on a daily basis. Again, the more details the better.

If your goal is to lose weight & get into better shape, imagine how you will look and feel when you achieve your desired goals. Imagine how better the quality of your health and life will be. Think about being able to be more active with your friends & family. Think about how your new looks and energy will impact your job performance and advancement. If that still does not motivate you enough to take action, think about how bad your quality of life might be if you don't achieve your health and fitness goals.

If you do these things properly, you will find yourself becoming a bit emotional and tied to your goal, as you think about your "why". And it is this extra emotional attachment to your goals that gives you a better chance of overcoming your fears to accomplish them.

Who's Your Mentor?

Here is a success key that helped me as a martial artist, actor & other areas of my life.

If you want to accomplish something that you have never accomplished before, find someone who has either already accomplished the same thing you want to accomplish. Or... has a proven track record of helping others do the same. Then follow their mentoring to the best of your abilities.

Sometimes this can be done through books, audio or video products. Other times you may have to pay them for their mentoring. Either way, having the right coach or mentor can greatly speed up your success.

How Do You See Yourself?

If you really want to be more successful in life, you must be able to visualize (mentally see) yourself already having achieved your desired results before you get started. The more you see yourself already achieving your goals, the quicker you will achieve them. Think of visualization as a positive day dream that performs a very specific purpose.

I use positive visualization in all areas of my life. In fact, this was one of my best training secrets when I was fighting. I always visualized myself fighting & beating my opponents before getting into the ring with them. To my mind & body, I had already fought my opponent. This gave me a big advantage when I stepped into the ring because my mind & body acted & reacted as I had visualized.

I never start a new business venture without mentally seeing my end result first. And I always write this end result down as well as the action steps I will take to achieve those results. If you are having trouble achieving or sticking to your written goals, chances are you are not attaching positive visualization to them.

Remember this... where your mind (thoughts) go, your body, emotions & money follows. In other words, if you see yourself failing, you will. If you vividly see yourself winning, you will start winning. If you see yourself poor, you will either stay there or end up there. If you see yourself prosperous, you can achieve prosperity.

So the next time you hear someone say "It's the thought that counts" remember that this is very true. Then make sure that your thoughts are helping you achieve your goals instead of working against you.

Best of success, Chuck Norris
